Who we are
This website is run by the GInI North Africa Chapter (the "Chapter"). To contact us about your data: info@ginina.org.
Data we collect
When you register for membership: your name, email, country, phone number (optional), job title, organization, comments, a password (stored hashed; we cannot read it), and a profile photo if you upload one.
When you write to us through the contact form: the details you enter in the form.
We do not use advertising trackers or analytics that track individuals.
How we use your data
To review and approve membership requests, manage your account, issue your member card and attendance certificates, reply to your messages, and send members announcements of programs and events.
Your name, country and job title appear in the public members directory only if you explicitly agree, and you can withdraw that consent in your account at any time.
Where data is stored and who sees it
Data is stored on the servers of the hosting company we use. Registration and contact-form data is kept in the database of this website and is visible only to the Chapter's administrators.
We do not sell your data or share it with others unless the law requires it.
Anyone can verify a member card or certificate through its verification link, which shows limited details only (name, membership type or event title and date, and status).
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms. Your browser also remembers your theme choice (light or dark) on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep membership data while your membership lasts, and contact messages for a reasonable time to answer and follow them up. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to info@ginina.org. You can edit most of your details directly in your account.
Security and changes
We use hashed passwords, encrypted connections and limited access permissions. No system is completely secure, however.
We may update this policy; the last-updated date is shown at the top of the page.
